Coronavirus and Covid-19 (Updated 04/08)
Blackhill Scout Campsite will always follow the latest UK Government and UK Scouts advice, as our primary point of reference.
Current Situation (as of 4th August 2020) —Suspension of face-to-face activities
CONDITION STATE- AMBER
The site remains CLOSED at this time.
We are working to make outdoor areas of the site available to small groups by prior booking in accordance with the Scout Association’s guidance as we move into Amber. Please be patient – we want to get things right to keep everyone safe.
We are pleased to say that we can now accept ADULT volunteers back on to site to help with necessary maintenance work and to prepare the site for the next change in usage. There is a Protocol and a Risk Assessment on the Downloads section of the website. Only outdoor jobs are permitted at this time and a strict booking and recording system has been put in place to safeguard those who volunteer. If you wish to help please read the Protocol and ensure you comply with the procedures.
The following remains the case at this time:
- The site remains closed to visitors.
- No new bookings for the site will be confirmed until the restriction on face to face activities has been lifted, or clear dates have been set for when this will happen.
- No residential booking (including camping) can be taken until the conditions are such that the Scout Association moves to “Green”
The management will review the above on a regular basis and update the information as appropriate.
