Coronavirus and Covid-19 (Updated 26/09)
Fantastic news – We can open!!
CONDITION STATE – AMBER
The site is now OPEN for Small Groups.
The site is open to small groups by prior booking in accordance with the Scout Association’s guidance as we move into Amber. Booking provides you with a designated space on site – you do not have the freedom of the whole site. Please respect this as we work to ensure a COVID Secure environment.
You must book – if you just turn up on site, you will be asked to leave.
In line with the guidance (AMBER) we are now able to accept small groups from Scouts, Guiding and other youth organisations. (Group size 15 plus max of 5 Leaders – 26/9/20.)
We have worked hard to make site as safe as possible – there are hand washing facilities in the car park, sanitizer stations around site and signs up to remind everyone to remain 2m apart (on a site this size that shouldn’t be too hard!) Your group will be allocated a large ‘zone’ on site and will have sole use of a toilet facility. You will have exclusive use of the camping areas (including fixed fire bases) and the woodland in your ‘zone’
Please be aware that that the shelters, equipment, play area and other activities are NOT currently available.
If you would like to bring your group, then please contact us on our usual 0300 020 0651 to check availability.
As well as the site Risk Assessment our policy document can be view on the website. Please visit https://blackhillscampsite.org.uk/downloads and access the “COVID” section for small groups to find out what we can offer.
Hope to see you soon – its far too quiet up here!!
(If you wish to hire indoor space please talk to the Booking Secretary – party
size will be below “Small Group” numbers to maintain present distancing
rules.)
