Operated by the Bradford North and South Scout Districts, Blackhills is a premier destination for youth development set within 40 acres of un-spoilt rural woodland. We believe that character is built through challenge and discovery; our site provides the perfect natural backdrop where young explorers become tomorrow’s leaders.

Our Facilities Whether you are seeking a rugged backwoods experience or the comfort of our centrally heated indoor centres, we offer a complete range of accommodation to suit every group. Our 40-acre site is designed to be a haven of fun and adventure for all ages while remaining a protected natural environment. Guests enjoy convenient access to mains water, modern toilet and shower facilities, and dedicated fireplaces on every site,supported by a plentiful local wood supply.

Adventure Beyond the Woods Situated North West of Bradford, Blackhills serves as a central hub for the best of Yorkshire. From our gates, you can explore:

• Natural Wonders: The Yorkshire Dales National Park, Ilkley Moor, and the rugged Bronte country.

• History & Heritage: The Five Rise Locks in Bingley, the Worth Valley Steam Railway, and historic sites in Skipton, Bolton Abbey, and Haworth.

Our Community To preserve the spirit of Scouting and the safety of our visitors, Blackhills is exclusively available to Scouts, Guides, and Youth groups (other community groups by arrangement). We are not open to the general public or festivals.
