The Rhodes Hut at Blackhills Scout Campsite is a spacious and practical indoor accommodation block, sleeping up to 36 people across a range of rooms as shown on the floor plan. Designed to support camps and group stays, the building benefits from full central heating, making it suitable for year-round use. A fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for self-catering, allowing groups to prepare meals on site with ease. With flexible sleeping arrangements and comfortable communal facilities, the Rhodes Hut is an ideal base for residential experiences, training events and group adventures at Blackhills.
The Grimley is a smaller, cosy indoor building at Blackhills Scout Campsite, ideal for groups of up to 16 people. Offering comfortable overnight accommodation, the building includes a practical kitchen for self-catering and shared use. Its compact layout makes it particularly well suited to small groups, or larger groups as support to camping outdoors. Providing a warm, secure base from which to enjoy everything Blackhills has to offer.
Clewer Crew Side is the newest residential building at Blackhills Scout Campsite, designed specifically for Explorer Scouts (Age 14 and over) and adult use. Sleeping up to 12 people, this modern space features an open-plan kitchen and living area, creating a relaxed and social environment for small groups and leadership teams. Conveniently situated next to the reception and wardens’ building, Clewer Crew Side offers a practical, comfortable base with easy access to site support, making it ideal for residential experiences, training weekends and team stays.
The Carlton Building is an over-18s only residential space at Blackhills Scout Campsite, providing comfortable accommodation for up to 14 people. The building includes a small but usable kitchen, a shared living space and dedicated bedrooms, making it well suited to adult groups, training weekends and leadership stays. With a practical layout and a relaxed atmosphere, the Carlton Building offers a convenient and comfortable base for those staying at Blackhills.
The Joseph Eaton is a non-residential building at Blackhills Scout Campsite, offering a large L-shaped room suitable for meetings, activities and events. The building has a capacity for up to 36 people, which is included within the standard booking price. It also includes toilet and kitchen facilities, providing a practical and flexible space for a wide range of uses. A bar can be made available on request, subject to staffing availability, making the Joseph Eaton an ideal venue for social events, training sessions and community gatherings.
